Kate Marstrand Diehl Executive Chef/ Owner
Kate, a 1995 Lubbock High graduate, attended Texas Tech before transferring to and graduating with honors from The Art Institute of Houston in Culinary Arts in 1997 . Kate, a native of Lubbock, has lived in Houston and San Antonio for the past ten years gaining the experience and confidence necessary in the restaurant industry to strike out on her own. She has won several awards including: Best Appetizer, Art and Eats of San Antonio, 2005; Bronze Medal, Chaine de Rotissiere (U of H), 2000; Gold Medal in an American Culinary Federation Competition at the Houston Country Club in 2001. Her specials have been featured in Texas Monthly and she was featured as one of San Antonio's Star Chefs. She has been contacted personally by restaurants seeking her skills and expertise. After marrying Jason, the two decided Lubbock was the place to raise their daughter Adia Tessa.
Jason Diehl Pastry Chef/Owner
Jason is a San Antonio native having attended the Texas Culinary Academy in Austin in 2002. After graduating, he worked with and later married Kate at the Hotel Valencia, a small luxury hotel located on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Jason quickly moved up the ranks and was named Pastry Chef, where he was known for his homemade ice creams and simple but creative desserts. Although Jason has only been in the industry just over three years, he has made the best of his time and still has a lot to offer Lubbock.
Wendy Marshall Chef de Cuisine
Wendy also attended the Art Institute of Houston moving into the culinary field with the Pastry Department of Aries Restaurant before moving to pantry and later hot line, eventually taking over as manager of Kraftsmen Baking Retail of Houston. She and Kate worked together in Houston both developing their skills in the industry and their friendship. Wendy moved to her native Iowa where she did personal catering before deciding to join Kate and Jason at Home. Wendy comes to Lubbock with her own little Lubbockite: Lyly.

Seth Marstrand Eternally our Honorary Restaurant Manager, Waiter, Brother, and Best Friend
Seth, also a Lubbock native and 1993 graduate of Lubbock High, graduated from Texas Tech in 1997 in Theatre Arts and Dance. He entered the restaurant field in high school waiting tables and later traveling after college, training staff for Joe's Crab Shack. Having worked in New York City and Los Angeles with several chain facilities like Starbucks, P. F. Chang's, and On the Border, Seth decided to get back near family and friends to help with the front house of Home before heading off again to chase his dream. We are all dreaming with you Seth. Break a leg!
